• Second Creon Workshop
  Istanbul, November 29th – December 1st, 2007

Solvay Middle East office arranged and held the 2nd Creon workshop in Istanbul, Turkey between November 29th and December 1st, 2007. We had a good number of CF specialists from Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Jordan.

The following topics were addressed to the audience:

• "Diagnosis, treatment, genotype/phenotype (the medical perspective)" by Prof. Gary Connett
• "Coping with CF, understanding and responding to issues related to CF, role of care taking team, parents and other family/friends" and "The role of medical societies and NGOs, other supportive societies" by Dr. Alistair Duff
• "Nutrition and the lungs - impact of nutritional status on disease status" by Prof. Ugur Özcelik
• "Thorough examination of a population in comparison to EU data" by Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh
• "Creon in CF, especially infant studies" by Dr. Friederike Henniges
